The Prayer Garden was created during the Spring of 2020 at the height of the Covid-19 Pandemic. Being unable to open our church building we found a way of opening our grounds for those wanting to find a quiet place to pray and meet with God. The garden has changed with the seasons, themes have come and gone, but there is a constant sense of peace and the presence of God. Past themes have included: Easter (2022 & 23) beautiful painted stones depicting scenes from the Easter story painted by Alan Marshall and Peter Balding. 12 boards hidden around the grounds each with a word from John 3:16 "God so loved the world He gave us his Son" Christmas 2021 66th Church Anniversary (June 2021) To celebrate our 66th Church Anniversary (June 2021) we created a Garden of Gratitude. Giving thanks for God's blessings to us in the past, present and future. There is also a new bench in the garden that commemorates the life of John and Nina Southall, long standing members of Belmont Rd Baptist Church.
